    We had good sunrise the morning of the 11. One thing of note is the Lenticular cloud above some of the higher mountains. The zoomed in photo shows them above the Rincons.

    Had some high clouds that produced a somewhat decent sunset. The sunset wasn’t as vertical as some of the good ones. I also captured some color about 1hour after the Sun ducked behind the mountains. Jupiter and Venus are also visible in the photo.

    Spent a few nights doing some astronomy out at CAC. The snow on the Chiricahua Mts is almost gone. Probably be the last I see this season. We also had a moderately good sunset.

    We had a very light dusting of snow here. Rare because it is in the desert, and we are only 32 degrees off the equator. You need to look hard to see it.

    An attempt at photographing the region around Orion’s sword. This image was taken over two nights, Feb 8 and 9th. The equipment used was a AT60 telescope and the camera was a Canon60D. This all rode piggyback on a LX90. This is some old technology here. but being a visual astronomer, I can dabble without…
