  • OsSky Field Photos

    I had a request for photos of the telescopes we used at OsSky. Unfortunately, I did not take any daytime photos of the field. Here are some of the night shots that contain photos that have some portion of a telescope in them. I had to beat them up in Lightroom in order to see some of the hardware. You should be able to click on them to embiggin.

    We went around to Darling Harbour for an evening meal. These are from the Ferry ride Back to Circular Quay

    It is an Island in Sydney Harbor that formally was the Naval Shipyard. I also housed convicts in the early British colonization of Australia.

    Some photos take of the night sky. They depict a part of the sky not seen from northern latitudes.

    Milkey Way with a couple of nearby galaxies.

    This is near Siding Springs. way out beyond the “Black Stump”.

    We cam across this cool pottery shop off the beaten path. Like about 5 miles down a dirt road.
    4 foot lizard. They call them “Go-annas”.

    We saw some Emus in the wild but there were at a farm.
    Ant had cleared this pathwar for a few hundred meters.

    Sydney 2023

    I made a trip down under. Here are a few photos from the trip. The first series are from Circular Quay and the harbor area. In the photo are Gary, Betty, Mai and Dave. No doubt as where we are.

    Sydney has a real nice biotonical Garden. This is a Echidna. A type of monotreme.
